Welcome to this site about the Sony Playstation Portable!

This site was mainly created because there was no easy way to find information about how to use the Sony PSP together with Linux. But hopefully it will be more than that as I'm planning on writing reviews of the PSP games I have at the moment (Ridge Racers, Vampire Chronicle, Lumines, Wipeout Pure and Untold Legends: Brotherhood of Steel).

If you have something you think will fit on this page, please don't hesitate to send it in. It doesn't have to be specific to Linux either, your experiences together with Mac OSX, Windows or *BSD is just as interesting as well as general information about the Sony PSP.

Even though your UMD discs have a plastic casing to protect the discs you could still have a need to protect them. First of all, theres a hole in the casing where the disc is read, so there's more than a slight chance that the disc can be scratched if thrown in a back pack.

Read on for a review of the Slide Case Portable UMD casings.

To protect your UMD discs you can buy the Slide Case Portable which features two UMD cases, one in black and one in white. These are made of hard plastic and are specially designed for UMD discs so they fit perfectly. One side of the case is clear, so it's possible to see what disc is inside, the other has a solid color.

The Slide Cases are only slightly bigger than the discs themselves, so even with these on they should fit inside most PSP cases made to fit UMD discs as well. With this protective shielding to your discs you won't have to worry about getting them scratched or broken any more.

At US$ 5.99 it's a bit steep for only two cases, but it's a lot cheaper than having to buy a new copy of a game if it gets broken.
